Most city pages brag about what a place has a lot of. This one starts with something Pleasant Grove has surprisingly little of.
Across 788 Pleasant Grove appointments, ants account for 68 logged pest codes, about half the rate of the rest of our Utah service area. In almost every Utah city we work, ants are a top-three complaint. In Pleasant Grove they are not, and that is the biggest single gap in the city’s profile. Here is our read, and where it stops.
Local service
We are in Pleasant Grove most weeks
First, the practical question. Yes, we come here. Beeline has treated Utah homes for 29 years, and Pleasant Grove is 788 appointments of that work, run on a regular route rather than as a one-off favor. Our office is in Clearfield, which does not change your price here. Technicians work routes, not radii. If something shows up between quarterly visits, you call and we come back at no extra charge.
Why this page shows you the whole north Utah County bench
Pleasant Grove alone is 902 pest codes. Enough for a few sharp claims, not much more. So for the pest mix below we pooled it with the towns it shares a bench and a canopy with: American Fork, Highland, Alpine, Cedar Hills, Lindon and Vineyard. That is 3,072 appointments and 3,437 pest codes across the seven. Everything in the chart and the next two sections is area data, labeled that way every time.

What the bench’s pest mix looks like
Across those 3,072 bench appointments the ordinary stuff leads. Spiders, 1,302 logs, 37.9% of what we record here against 31.9% across the rest of our service area. Wasps, 677 logs, 19.7% against 16.7%. Mice, 447 logs, 13.0% against 10.5%. Ants, 318 logs, 9.3% against 13.7%, low here too. Spiders and wasps together are better than one in two bench calls.

Area data
Where the bench parts company with the rest of the Wasatch Front
No competitor page has this, because it comes out of our own appointment export, not a pest encyclopedia.
Aphids run 2.87 times our service-area rate across the bench, the biggest multiple in the area table. Small in raw terms, 24 logs, but it fits what our technicians find: old, heavily irrigated shade trees dripping honeydew onto cars and patio furniture in July. Snails are 2.54 times our rate, 38 logs, the same story told differently. Shaded ground and thick foundation plantings under a closed canopy stay damp where an open lake-plain lawn does not.
The cold side is just as telling. Rat calls are a fifth of our service-area rate, 15 logs across the whole bench. Mosquito calls run at half, 13 logs. Box elder bugs sit at 0.59 times, 206 logs, well under the Davis County cities where they are a fall institution. Elevated, well-drained, not very dense: every cold row fits that.

The Pleasant Grove number
The Pleasant Grove oddity: ants are running low
Now the city’s own number, the only one we build a section around.
On 788 Pleasant Grove appointments carrying 902 pest codes, ants are 68 of them. That is 7.5% of what we log here against 13.6% across the rest of our service area, a multiple of 0.55, a six-point hole and the largest gap in the Pleasant Grove table in either direction.
That is unusual. Ants are the most democratic pest in Utah, turning up in new builds and century homes alike.
Our best read, offered as a read and not a finding. Two things probably contribute, and service records cannot separate them. The first is arithmetic. Pleasant Grove logs a heavy spider and wasp load, 346 and 202 codes, better than 60% of the city’s total between them. When two categories run that hot, everything else gets squeezed in percentage terms even if the raw number of ant calls is ordinary.
The second is ground. Pleasant Grove sits at 4,623 feet on the bench below Mount Timpanogos, on the fans Battle Creek and Grove Creek built. USU Extension notes that moisture and heat are the key components of odorous house ant nesting habitat. Fast-draining bench ground on a slope holds surface moisture poorly. Lake-plain soil does not.
What we will not tell you is that we have proved either one. We have call records, not soil cores and not an ant census. A city where fewer people call about ants is not necessarily a city with fewer ants. Treat it as a fact about our service history, not a reason to skip an inspection when a trail shows up along the kitchen baseboard in June.
What Pleasant Grove does call us about
Spiders, 346 logs, 38.4% of our Pleasant Grove work against 32.0% elsewhere. This is where being Utah’s City of Trees costs you something: a closed canopy makes the flying insects that feed orb weavers, and the eaves to hang webs from.
Wasps, 202 logs, 22.4% against 16.7%. Deep eaves, detached shops and orchard-era outbuildings all read the same to a paper wasp queen in April.
Earwigs, 42 logs, about half again our service-area rate, same damp-canopy explanation as the bench snail number. Snails, 10 logs, the floor of what we will quote. It points the same way as the sturdier area figure, and that is all we claim.

What we are treating, and when. The highlighted row is where we are today.
| When | What matters in Pleasant Grove |
|---|---|
| March, April | Overwintered wasp queens start nests. Cheapest month to deal with one: a single insect and a dozen cells. |
| May, June | Ant trails appear indoors, Strawberry Days weather. Low city share or not, this is the window. |
| Mid-June through August | Elm seed bugs push indoors, where USU Extension puts their peak. |
| July, August | Aphid honeydew on the old shade trees. Peak spider build. |
| September, October | Mice test the garage, box elder bugs gather on south walls. |

Pleasant Grove pest control questions we get asked
Do you actually service Pleasant Grove, or is this just a page?
We run Pleasant Grove on a regular route. The proof is the number this page is built on: 788 appointments here, which is not a volume you reach by accident.
Your office is in Clearfield. Does that cost me more?
No. Pricing is the same here as five minutes from our door. Routing is our problem, not yours.
What if wasps come back in August, after my summer service?
You call and we come back out at no extra charge. On the bench that gets used: wasps are 19.7% of everything we log across the area.
If ant calls are low here, can I skip ant treatment?
Please do not. Low call share is a fact about our records, not a guarantee about your kitchen. Odorous house ants track moisture, so a slow hose bib can hand you an ant problem in a city that statistically has few.
Why are there so many spiders in my yard here?
Because Pleasant Grove grows trees better than almost anything else. Spiders are 346 of our 902 logged Pleasant Grove pest codes. Exterior treatment plus knocking webs down on a schedule is what moves that.
I am up near Battle Creek Canyon. Is it different closer to the mountain?
Probably, but we will not pretend to know. Our records are city-level and bench-level, and anyone showing you a canyon-mouth pest map is guessing.
Those old trees drip something sticky every July. Is that a pest?
Usually aphids. Across the north Utah County bench, aphid calls run 2.87 times our service-area rate, the highest multiple in the area table. The film on your car is honeydew, and treatable.
